Volunteers are our lifeblood! We could not run the festival without you. Thank you for your generosity and support and interest in volunteering your time and skills to HBFF. Please drop us a line to let us know why you want to volunteer and if you have any particular skills you feel may be useful.
We are always on the look out for enthusiastic people with good interpersonal communication skills, organisational and admin abilities, technical filmmaking skills, digital media, social media and marketing, vlogging and blogging, knowledge of fundraising or sponsorship and of course a passion for all things film related.
During the festival itself we need lots of people for distributing postcards and programmes, for ushering, to be on the Festival Desk, and for loads of other things - but there's lots to do in between times as well for people that would like to work behind the scenes.
Our emphasis is on having fun and making new friends, as much as working hard at all our events.
Some of the activities you might become involved in include assisting at the Film Festival, learning new festival production skills, helping out with any HBFF fundraisers and joining in with other activities we might run such as trivia film events.
You might be asked to assist HBPH staff at ad hoc screenings as well as at the HBFF.
