Olfa’s two eldest daughters disappeared in 2015, leaving her and her two youngest daughters heartbroken and sleepless. To piece together their layered story, Kaouther Ben Hania invites professional actors to step into the places of the missing sisters. The result is part observational wonder and part performance masterclass, as Olfa and her daughters recreate an intimate tableau to negotiate their own unique perspectives on the trauma they share. Ben Hania invents a unique cinema experience in this intimate journey of hope, rebellion, violence and sisterhood that questions the very foundations of our societies.

Golden Eye, Cannes Film Festival
Winner of 14 awards
Oscar nominee, Best Documentary Feature
