At HBFF we want to show your film! We want great films and to showcase exciting new works by fimmakers from the UK and around the world.
We accept features (fiction and documentary) and shorts, and have a special category for young people’s shorts.
Please bear in mind our theme, “The Other”, when you submit your film, and our tagline “Dare to be Different”.
At HBFF we want to radically increase the diversity of film and of the film industry, so we are particularly interested in films with under-represented voices - both in front of and behind the camera.
Filmmakers can expect a warm welcome at Hebden Bridge where audiences are passionate about cinema. We will be holding post-screening Q&As, a film masterclass and panel discussions with the film makers. It will be a packed weekend of exciting new films that will engage, challenge and delight.
