HBFF (‘the Festival’) appreciates the time and commitment that volunteers contribute, and we aim to make volunteering with us an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. This agreement tells you what you can expect from us and what we can expect from you. We aim to be flexible, so please let us know if you would like to make any changes, and we will do our best to accommodate them. This agreement is not a contract of employment and is binding in honour only.

What you can expect from us:

1. We will provide you with an introduction and welcome and ensure you feel comfortableand able to complete your role.
2. We will provide you with a clear role description, and clear duties.
3. A safe environment in which to volunteer.
4. You will have a named contact at the venue you are volunteering at, so that you have apoint of call should any issues arise.
5. We will support you in your role and provide you with all the information you need,including where to take breaks and what facilities are available.
6. We will treat you equally, fairly and with respect and try to meet your needs whilst withus.
7. If you require any specific information, we will ensure you have this well in advance.
8. We will provide you with a t-shirt so that you are easily identifiable as a volunteer.9.We will look after any personal details you provide us with securely.

What we expect of our volunteers:

1. Attend any safety or event briefings that you are asked to attend.
2. Honour your commitments and notify us or your contact at the venue if you are unableto attend.
3. Act professionally and courteously with visitors, attendees and guests.
4. Honour the confidentiality of HBFF and visitor, attendee, and guest information.
5. Follow the procedures outlined to you and the reasonable instructions of employedmembers of staff at the venue you are volunteering at.
6. Report any health and safety, first aid or safeguarding concerns to a member of staff atthe venue immediately.
7. Volunteers understand that the Festival cannot be held responsible for any damage to,or theft of, personal items whilst you are volunteering with us. Please be mindful of your possessions.
