After the death of her mother, 18-year-old Sahar is left looking after her mentally disabled father in an isolated Iranian village. Sahar dreams of attending university and becoming a doctor, but extended family insist she play the role of caretaker unless her father remarries. Sahar does not want another woman to be pressured into this thankless task, even though it would release her. From the director of Hebden Bridge Film Festival 2021 favourite film Beloved, Yasir Talebi again shows his extraordinary skills as a documentary filmmaker as we join him in this warm and intimate portrait of a father and daughter.
